Catering

The care home’s qualified catering staff produce a varied and nutritious daily menu and are able to cater for special needs.
We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, and in between these morning coffee and afternoon tea are served. We support residents if they want to eat alone in the peace and quite of their own room.

Meals are served at the following times:

Early morning tea 7.00 to 7.30 am
Breakfast from 7.30 am
Morning coffee 11.00am
Lunch 1.00pm
Afternoon Tea 3.00pm
Supper 5.45pm
Evening Drinks 8.15pm

Meeting Nutritional Needs:
All residents are offered three meals per day, morning coffee/afternoon tea and night drinks, snacks and drinks are available at all times upon request. We offer a varied, well balanced menu taking into consideration the nutrition and specialist dietary needs of the individual and the season. The menus are on a four week rolling basis and there is always a choice offered and each resident has the daily opportunity to discuss the menu with the catering staff. Residents are encouraged to have input to the menu planning and can request particular dishes to be provided. Special cultural diets can also be catered for. The menu boards are changed daily so residents are reminded of the choice of food on offer.

Referrals to outside agencies such as the SALT Team, Dietician’s and Nutritionists are made should residents experience difficulties or if our mini MUST assessment tool indicates this.
