Nursing care

Glentworth House provides three Regulated Activities:

(1) Accommodation for people who require nursing or personal Care,
(2) Treatment of disease, disorder or injury
(3) Diagnostic and screening procedures for 33 people, predominately over 65.

However, through thorough assessment we will take younger if we are compliant to their needs as set out in CQC’s ‘Essential Standards of Quality and safety’. The type of service we provide is a care home with nursing. Our service user band is older people some of whom may have a secondary diagnosis of dementia.

Seven of the beds within Glentworth House are contracted to Brighton & Hove City Council to provide Transitional Care which is within our Regulated Activities and Type of Service Provision and Banding.

The purpose of Glentworth House is to provide a high quality of nursing care and welfare to our residents in all aspects of their physical, psychological and social perspective.

We aim to provide this care in a homely environment that meets the needs of the resident whilst maintaining their independence, individuality and confidentiality. We also respect the need for privacy, dignity and protection of their human rights during their stay.
